Also, I saw this exact same product on the Dell website for $200.00. This was longer than the previous battery I had which came from Dell. This was an excellent investment. Also, after charging the battery, it last for 5 hours. Please invest in this if you have Inspiron E1505. The product was delivered to me within (7) days. I was really shock and impressed.
I normally only rate bad products to warn people; but this product and company are top notch. Don't listen to the naysayers, if you are looking for a replacement battery buy this one.Get about 4 hours of use on my laptop from one charge.This is the first positive review I have ever left on amazon. Over 40% cheaper than Dell, super fast shipping and awesome performance. What else needs to be said.
(March 26, 2009) The battery topped at 67% charged. After using this battery for two months, I noticed that my laptop's power meter remained at 80% charged even after hours of charging to it.
I was told that some people have no trouble, and others do, and it seemed to be hit or miss. I was pleased with the way that Brilliant Store handled the situation- they were prompt and courteous, and as a result I would do business with them again. I ordered this battery as a spare for my Dell E1505 laptop, but it was not recognized by the computer and therefore would not charge. Because the battery did not work in my computer, I sent it back for a full refund, which I received without hassle. Hence my 5 star rating. I received an error message upon startup, even before Windows XP loaded, stating that I needed an "official Dell battery." When I swapped back to my original (Dell) battery, everything worked fine. I explained the situation to Brilliant Store, and they acknowledged that the problem sometimes occurs due to an incompatibility with a chip inside the new battery (which causes it to be identified as a non-Dell product).
It's working well for me. Worked out of the box, even had a charge.
